Privacy policy
Last updated 2 October 2026. This policy explains what Send Verified collects, why, and how long we keep it.
What we collect
- Your account: your name, email address, company and the optional details you add on your profile (phone, address), plus a hashed version of your password.
- The addresses you check: lists you paste or upload (including the other columns in a CSV, which we keep only so your download matches your file), single checks, and API requests — with the result for each.
- Payments: Stripe handles card details; we never see or store your card number. We keep a record of what you bought and your Stripe customer ID.
- Usage and security records: sign-in times, the IP address and browser of each session, and credit history.
How we use it
- To run your checks, show your results and credits, and bill you.
- To keep the service secure and fair — for example, rate limits and abuse prevention.
- To email you about your account (confirmation, password resets, sign-in codes). We don’t send marketing email without asking.
We don’t sell your data, and we never use the lists you upload to build our own lists or to contact anyone on them.
Shared results we keep briefly
To avoid asking the same mail server about the same address over and over, we remember a definite answer for an individual address (accepted or rejected) for up to 2 days, and facts about a domain — its mail servers, and whether it accepts every address — for up to 30 days. These records don’t say who asked.
How long we keep things
- Uploaded files and task results: deleted 90 days after the task finishes.
- Single-check and API-check history: 90 days.
- Your account and credit history: while your account is open. Ask us to close it and we’ll delete your data, except records we must keep by law (such as invoices).
Who processes data for us
Our hosting and database provider, Stripe (payments) and our email delivery provider. Each handles data only to provide its service to us.
Security
Connections are encrypted. Passwords are stored as salted hashes, and API keys as one-way hashes — we can’t read either back. Access to production systems is limited to the people who run the service.
Your rights
You can see and correct most of your details on your profile, and download your results from the dashboard. To get a copy of your data, or have it deleted, contact us through your dashboard. If you’re unhappy with how we handle your data, you can also complain to your local data-protection authority.
